*Heart Chakra is located exact at the middle of human chest. It is associated to the ‘Air’ feature, which often governs our approach of love, sympathy, and common relations.
*Throat Chakra is situated at the base of the throat. It is related to the ‘Sound’ element, which governs our creativity, communication ability, and resonance.
*Brow Chakra, also called The Third Eye Chakra, is situated between the brows on the forehead. It is related to the ‘Light’ element, which governs our perception, interpretation, and visualization.
*Crown Chakra is situated at the top of the head. It is related to the ‘thought’ element, which governs our wisdom, knowledge, and consciousness.

Chakra Meditation Power
In essence, Chakra Meditation consists of three techniques, or steps which must be performed.
*Grounding Technique. As is evident from its name, the Grounding Technique makes your body feel connected with the Earth. The application of this technique is pretty simple. Just visualize a root growing from your body and entering into the Earth. Easier it may sound, but requires intense concentration and mental awareness while performing the Grounding Technique.
*Centering – this technique is intended to prepare you for the benefits which Chakra Meditation has to offer. Take a few (three to five ) deep breaths and visualize your entire body relaxing – from the top of your head to your toes. The next step is to visualize a piece of pottery being centered on a pottery wheel.
*Relaxation Technique. The Relaxation Technique is the primary act in the entire Chakra Meditation process. Everyone has his or her own method of relaxation. Just find out your preferred mode of relaxing the body and stick to it. In a nutshell, Chakra Meditation is all about relaxing, visualizing, and directing the flow of energy through the seven energy centers (Chakras).
There are plenty of techniques of performing Chakra Meditation, the most famous are as follows
*Sit or lie down in a relaxed situation.
*Loosen your clothing and close your eyes – you want to be as relaxed as possible without any distractions from outside.
*Take breaths in a comfortable way, which should be neither too quick nor too sluggish. The thought is to renounce the control on your breath, and let it surge naturally, but healthily.
*Try to feel and be aware of every part of your body, beginning at your toes and moving upwards. As you do this, also become conscious of your surroundings, the grass or furniture you are sitting on. Be in the moment and relax.
*While you are doing this, you may feel emotions coming on. positive and negative. Let them flow through and out of you – this is the release of your stress! With practice and time, these feelings will disappear.
*Don’t delay your consciousness! Let it surge liberally from one fraction of your body to other.
This meditation exercise is beneficial at any time of day or night and may be done for as long as you like – the longer you meditate, the better the results will be.
Chakra Meditation Explained
Meditation is considered as a powerful form of self-realization and self-healing. There are various methods by which you can meditate, but perhaps, the most potent of all is the Chakra Meditation. This process can also be called Chakra Balancing, or Chakra Healing which are essentially the same thing.
The Seven Energy Centers and Chakra Meditation.
The meditation whose basic aim is to align the movement of all the seven primary Chakras in the body is termed as Chakra Meditation. Our body consists of 7 primary and over 20,000 secondary Chakras. For a better understanding of Chakra Meditation, it’s important to know what and where are the primary Chakras in the body:
*Root Chakra. This chakra is situated at the base of our spine. It is related to the element earth. It controls our health and prosperity.
*Orange Chakra. This chakra lies on the naval. This is related to water which is one of the five “Panchbhutas” or elements. This governs our feelings and reproductive ability.
*Solar Plexus governing your metabolism, autonomy and conviction is located just above the naval region and related to the element ‘Fire’.
*Heart Chakra. This chakra lies around our heart and is related to most important of the five elements that is the air. This controls our feelings, relationships and sense of compassion for others.
*Throat Chakra. This charka relates to sound we make or hear and governs our communication ability, creative faculties and reverberations.
*Brow Chakra governing your power of imagination, visualization, and interpretation is located between the brows on the forehead and related to the element ‘Light’.
*Crown Chakra located at the top of the head and related to the element ‘thought’. It governs consciousness, wisdom, and knowledge.
Chakra Meditation seeks to achieve harmony amongst the seven chakras which gives the spiritual fulfillment. It helps to bring out the spiritual element of our material possessions.
The synchronization of chakras promotes self healing of all physical and mental ailments.
Chakra Meditation involves three techniques in this order.
*Grounding Technique. This technique helps you achieve the feeling of oneness with the earth. Just imagine that there is a root growing out of the base of your spine and entering the earth. This technique requires high degree of mental concentration.
*Centering Technique. This technique prepares you to receive rewards of Chakra Meditation. Just take half a dozen deep breathes and feel the existence of each part of your body by tightening and relaxing muscles in each part, while at the same time visualizing the hand of a potter centering a pot on the potter’s wheel.
*Relaxation Technique. The main part of Chakra Meditation is the Relaxation Technique. Different people have different ways of distressing, so find a way of relaxing which suits you the best and adhere to it. In short, Chakra Meditation aims at relaxing the body and visualizing the flow of energy through the seven chakras.
Here is a simple method of performing Chakra Meditation.
*Sit or lie down in a position that is most comfortable for your body.
*Make sure your clothing is loose so that you are free of body tension and then shut your eyes.
*Have relaxed rhythmic breathing at a normal breathing rate so that you have a control on your breath.
*Become aware of each organ of your body from foot to the head. Feel the aura around you as well as your clothes. With your eyes shut visualize everything that you would have seen had your eyes been open. Visualize life in darkness!
*You may experience a wave of thoughts, fears, and every kind of emotion during this process. Don’t avoid them! This represents the release of stress-related thoughts. With practice and regular exercise, these negative emotions and feelings will disappear.
*Do not resist your awareness of any part of your body or things around you.
Do this exercise for any length of time and at any time of the day!
